Let’s Talk Energy is a series of Three FREE linked workshops explaining how we can create more sustainable Communities using renewable energy
The workshops take place on three consecutive Saturdays from 9am to 1pm, at the The Quaker Meeting House, 22 School Lane, Liverpool, L1 3BT
Workshop 1 -27th February 2016
Explores the looming energy crisis and what it means for our communities and the issues that need to be taken into account when thinking about renewable energy as a possible solution
Workshop 2 – 5th March 2016
This workshop introduces you to some of the problems that might occur and how you can overcome them with good planning: building regulations, renewables on schools and heritage buildings, planning issues, an introduction to sources of finance
Workshop 3 – 12th March 2016
This workshop covers the nuts and bolts of setting up a community energy project: legal structures and governance, crowdfunding and community shares, project planning and management, what to do with your profits.
The workshops are open to anyone and reasonable travel expenses can be paid.
